I get your point but the article is perhaps a bit too scathing in its description. The middle class has good and bad characteristics — just like the rich and poor.

Besides, I find non-poor working class people the most reasonable group of people on the planet. The poor are too indolent and the rich too insufferable for my taste. But to each his own, I suppose.
